NVIDIA may reduce GeForce RTX 50 graphics card shipments in the first half of 2026 — the first restrictions will affect models 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti
According to the Chinese forum Board Channels, NVIDIA plans to reduce the production of GeForce RTX 50 series graphics processors by 30–40% in the first half of 2026.
The shortage of memory — both GDDR6 and GDDR7, as well as components related to system memory (DDR5/DDR4) — is cited as the reason. This may affect the availability of mid-range cards, which are traditionally in high demand among gamers and those working with graphics and AI.
The first to suffer will be popular models GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, aimed at the mass market.
Sources note that this is a temporary adjustment of production capacity, not a complete abandonment of production. According to insider information, the second half of 2026 may bring new models, including the GeForce RTX 50 Super, which will partially compensate for the shortage.
Although the information is currently in the status of a rumor, a possible reduction in supply could seriously affect the graphics card market and lead to a return to the shortages observed several years ago.
