Electric Ford Bronco Begins Production in China
The first production model of the electric Ford Bronco from the JMC-Ford joint venture rolled off the production line on December 12, becoming the 200,000th vehicle from the factory in Fushan, Nanchang County.

The electric Ford Bronco is an SUV designed for the Chinese market. Pre-orders for the model with fully electric (BEV) and hybrid (EREV) powertrains began on November 18. The new Bronco's price range is from 229,800 to 282,800 yuan (from 32,560 to 40,070 dollars).

This year, Ford and JMC invested 300 million yuan (42.5 million dollars) to upgrade production lines for assembling the electric Ford Bronco. The start of its production became an important milestone for the company. The new SUV under the Ford brand will challenge models such as the Aito M8, Li Auto L9, Denza N9, and other local models.
The electric Ford Bronco is easily recognizable by its angular body and large 'Bronco' lettering on the front. The vehicle features large bumpers and plastic claddings around the wheel arches. The new SUV boasts impressive dimensions of 5025/1960/1825 mm with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. The minimum ground clearance is 220 mm.

The cabin of the Ford Bronco is equipped with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument panel, and a 70-inch AR-HUD projection display. The model offers a 7.5-liter refrigerator, 21 speakers, 10 airbags, and a panoramic sunroof. The interior is designed for five seats.
Ford Bronco BEV is equipped with two electric motors with a total power of 332 kW (445 hp). They are powered by an LFP battery with a capacity of 105.4 kWh for a range of 650 km according to the CLTC cycle. The hybrid EREV version has a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine delivering 110 kW (148 hp). It transfers energy to a BYD Blade battery with a capacity of 43.7 kWh, providing a fully electric range of up to 220 km according to the CLTC cycle. Two electric motors produce 310 kW (416 hp). The combined range reaches 1220 km.
