LG introduced the world's first audio system with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect support
At CES 2026, LG announced the LG Sound Suite, a modular home audio system. The central element of the system is the H7 soundbar, which became the first device in the world to support Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. This technology allows the sound to automatically adapt according to the placement of the speakers in the room.
What is known
Sound Suite is compatible with LG TVs but can also work with other devices via HDMI. Users can combine different components, including the H7 soundbar, M5 and M7 rear speakers, and W7 subwoofer, creating up to 27 configuration options. In 2026, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect will appear in new LG TVs, and some models from 2025 will get support through a software update.

The system supports wireless connection via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The Sound Follow technology with ultra-wideband (UWB) adjusts the listening position depending on the user's location. Room Calibration Pro determines the acoustic characteristics of the room and applies AI processing to adjust the sound.
The computing is handled by the α11 AI Processor Gen 3 – the same as in LG TVs. Thanks to AI Sound Pro+ algorithms, the system separates voices, music, and effects, and also scales stereo to multi-channel sound.

All elements of the LG Sound Suite are equipped with Peerless speakers. Dolby and LG stated that FlexConnect provides adaptive sound without complex setup, and the new system allows free placement of components in the room.
The LG Sound Suite system can be seen from January 6 to 9 at CES 2026.
