Campaign Evolved — this is just the beginning: an insider confirmed that Microsoft is preparing a trilogy of Halo remakes
In October 2025, Microsoft For the first time on PlayStation and without multiplayer: Microsoft officially announced the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved— a remake of the storyline campaign of the cult shooter Halo, which was released in 2001.
Soon after, the first rumors appeared that similar re-releases would be received by several other parts of the legendary franchise. New information did not appear for a long time, but now insider Rebs Gaming has shared information from his own sources.
What is known
The insider confirmed that Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) does indeed plan to release remakes of the storyline campaigns for the second and third parts. One of his interlocutors, who was a former employee of the studio, reported that the developers plan to rethink the entire trilogy, but due to a signed NDA, he did not dare to disclose details.
The second source of Rebs Gaming mentioned that Microsoft and Halo Studios are unsure of the success of potential new parts of the series and want to gauge gamers' interest by releasing modernized versions of the famous shooters. Moreover, the developers want to find out how successful Halo will be on PlayStation — the release of Halo: Campaign Evolved, which will take place in 2026, will be the franchise's debut on the Japanese console.
