Authors of Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition Reveal Content of Large Winter Update and Paid DLC The Sergeant & The Lioness
Firefly Studios revealed details of the big winter update for Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition — the popular remaster of the cult 2002 strategy game.
What is known
The developer will once again offer gamers both free content and a new add-on that will be sold for a small fee.
In the free update, the authors will add three new maps and a second quest chain for cooperative gameplay. A major innovation will be an editor that allows users to create their own Challenge Trails — developers promise to provide more information about it soon.
The paid add-on will be called The Sergeant & The Lioness and will introduce nine missions and two more lords to Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition: the Lioness — the leader of Bedouin and Arab troops, and the Sergeant — a veteran of many campaigns. Both lords will present players with a serious challenge in the additional mission chain “Sands of Time.”
The update and DLC The Sergeant & The Lioness will be released on February 3, 2026.
