Windows Latest continues to share exclusive information about Lenovo's experimental developments in the field of laptop displays. Previously, the resource revealed new details about the Three diagonals of one display: new details revealed about the unique Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable laptop with an expanding screen laptop with a screen expanding sideways, and now information about another conceptual device has been published.

What is known

Journalists from Windows Latest showed renderings of the Lenovo ThinkPad Rollable XD, according to which it will receive a vertically expanding OLED display, increasing from 13.3” to 16”. Unlike the already released ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, whose panel extended from the bottom part of the body, the new model uses a different mechanism: the screen rises together with the frame, forming a tall workspace for documents, web pages, and vertical applications.

A separate feature of the concept will be the ability to output an image to the outside of the lid, creating the effect of a 'flowing' display - for this, a small screen is provided on the lid, protected by tempered glass, so there is no need to worry about its preservation, although it is still unclear what tasks this innovative idea from Lenovo can be used for.

The ThinkPad Rollable XD is currently only a concept, which will be publicly presented at the international CES 2026 exhibition - it will be held from January 6 to 9.
