Not everyone needs hardcore: the horror Cronos: The New Dawn will add a lower difficulty mode Temporal Diver
The Polish studio Bloober Team announced great news for those who were disappointed by the lack of difficulty level selection in Cronos: The New Dawn. The developers explained this decision by offering players a brutal survival horror and wanted everyone to be on equal terms.
But now they have somewhat revised their concept.
What is known
The authors reported that in early 2026 Cronos: The New Dawn will receive an update, which will feature the Temporal Diver mode.
Details are still unknown, but it is stated that this mode provides a lower difficulty level and is suitable for those who want to appreciate the plot and the dark setting of the destroyed alternative Krakow, but do not want to face difficulties and delve into the nuances of gameplay.
Cronos: The New Dawn is created to challenge players. But we heard your feedback and know that some of you want to explore the game's plot at a more comfortable pace. Therefore, we are currently working on a new difficulty level, which will be presented in early 2026. This is our calling.
Cronos: The New Dawn was released in September 2025 and is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2. Gamers highly appreciated the work of Polish developers.
