Powerful Honor WIN Series Gaming Smartphones Debut in China with 10,000 mAh Battery, Unique Cooling System, and Reliable Water and Dust Protection
Honor has introduced a new lineup of powerful gaming smartphones, the Honor WIN, which offer top-notch specifications, a concise design, and maximum water and dust protection.
What is known
The lineup includes two models — Honor WIN and Honor WIN RT.
The base Honor WIN is equipped with a 6.83” LTPS OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 185 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness up to 6000 nits, and PWM dimming at 5920 Hz.
The model runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, supports up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB UFS 4.1 storage. The camera includes a 50 MP main Sony IMX906 sensor with OIS, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP IMX856 telephoto lens (3×), while the front camera is 50 MP.
Honor Win RT received more modest features: last year's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is used as the chipset and there is no telephoto lens. It is also deprived of wireless charging.
Both devices support 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C 2.0, NFC and come with the MagicOS 10 shell based on
Android 16.
The main advantage of the Honor WIN series is the first mass-market smartphone battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh with support for 100 W wired charging. The senior model supports 80 W wireless charging.
The bodies of the new products are made of fiberglass and support water and dust protection according to IP68/69/69K standards. Honor even released a video demonstrating how the WIN gadgets are tested for waterproofing.
The WIN series also stands out with an active cooling system with a fan — a rarity for regular smartphones. Miniature coolers, called Ultra Fan, are provided for the chipsets' cooling and they are mounted in the camera block.
Honor WIN and Honor WIN RT are already available on the Chinese market with prices (converted from yuan) as follows:
- WIN RT is offered in five configurations from $380 for 12/256 GB to $565 for 16 GB/1 TB;
- Honor Win is offered in four configurations from $565 for 12/256 GB to $735 for 16 GB/1 TB.
