IKEA expands sales of Västmärke wireless chargers in Europe

IKEA has expanded the sales geography of its Västmärke series wireless chargers. After the launch in the USA, Italy, and Germany in mid-December, the new items appeared in the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, and France.

What is known

The series includes three models with Qi 2.0 support and a maximum charging power of up to 15W. They are compatible with USB-C power adapters and support fast charging protocols Power Delivery 3.0 (PD 3.0) and Quick Charge 2.0 (QC 2.0). A USB-C cable is included.

The first model is a compact charger measuring 6×3 cm in the shape of a donut with a red silicone finish. The cable can be stored inside the case. The cost is 7 pounds in the UK, 10 euros in the Netherlands and Spain, 9 euros in France.

The second model is a charging stand with a cork base. It supports both vertical and horizontal positions of the phone thanks to built-in magnets. The dimensions are approximately 8 by 12 by 7 centimeters. The cost is 9 pounds in the UK and from 13 to 15 euros in EU countries.

The third model is a glass bowl with LED backlighting. Inside there is a raised area for wireless charging, and small items can be stored around it. The light is activated by a button. The cost is 15 pounds in the UK, 20 euros in Spain.
