Capcom is actively porting its games to Nintendo Switch 2, and the sensational action RPG Monster Hunter Wilds may soon be released on the popular hybrid console.

What is known

Dataminers have studied the files of the new version of Monster Hunter Wilds and found data indicating an impending release of the game on Switch 2.

In particular, lines were found in the code that include a key configuration for a settings block related to the "enhanced version for NSW2."

After studying the code, it became known that the version of Monster Hunter Wilds for Nintendo Switch 2 uses its own DLSS DI presets, not AC. Interestingly, the hybrid console will support local co-op, allowing up to four consoles to connect simultaneously and create a lobby.

The release of Monster Hunter Wilds took place in February 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. The game received high critical acclaim, but the PC version still suffers from poor optimization and low performance.

If Capcom does indeed plan to release Monster Hunter Wilds on Switch 2, the company needs to seriously address the technical aspects of the game, as even the most powerful computers struggle with it.
