Vivo X300 Pro almost matched iPhone 17 Pro in camera quality
The Vivo X300 Pro smartphone took second place in the updated DxOMark camera rankings. This is the highest result for a Vivo brand device. Previously, the Vivo X200 Ultra was in the top 5, but the new model managed to surpass it.
What is known
For photos, the X300 Pro scored 171 points compared to 173 for the X200 Ultra, but the main growth was in video: 169 points compared to 156. In this regard, the smartphone took second place in the overall ranking, right after the iPhone 17 Pro. DxOMark noted that the X300 Pro is the best smartphone for video recording among tested Android-based devices.
The smartphone received high marks for portrait mode (bokeh), telephoto lens, zoom, and night shooting. Experts noted consistently accurate exposure, wide dynamic range, natural white balance, and high detail. Particularly praised were the shots using zoom and video stabilization.
At the same time, DxOMark noted several drawbacks. In HDR scenes with bright backlighting, contrast issues are noticeable. The ultra-wide-angle camera has a narrow field of view. In some situations, artifacts such as ghosting, color bands, and texture disturbances appear. In night mode, details sometimes look unnatural. In addition, inaccurate skin tone color transmission for people with darker skin tones was detected.
