Apple conducted a monthly update of the list of vintage and obsolete gadgets and added several devices to it.

What's known

This time the list of obsolete gadgets remained unchanged, but the “vintage” category now includes the iPhone 11 Pro, the last MacBook Air on Intel, and Apple Watch Series 5.

Interestingly, the iPhone 11 Pro still receives updates and supports the latest iOS 26, but since Apple recognizes a device as vintage when more than five years have passed since it was removed from sale, January 2026 marked the time for the iPhone 11 Pro.

For users, this means that Apple service centers will accept gadgets for repair only if the corresponding spare parts are available.

The updated list of vintage devices includes:

  • MacBook Air (Intel, 13", 2020)
  • iPhone 8 Plus (128 GB) — other configurations were recognized as vintage earlier
  • iPhone 11 Pro
  • iPad Air 3, Wi-Fi+Cellular — the version without Cellular remains relevant for now
  • All versions of Apple Watch Series 5 in 40 and 44 mm.
