Airloom to showcase a new approach to wind energy at CES 2026
Airloom will present its new wind power generation design at CES 2026. This development can be applied to power data centers that require increasing resources amidst the growing popularity of AI.
What is known
Unlike traditional tall towers, Airloom installations are 20–30 meters high. The design consists of movable wings rotating in a circular motion (similar to a roller coaster). As they move, they generate electricity just like the blades of a conventional turbine. According to the company, the design requires 40% less mass, 42% fewer components, and 96% fewer unique parts compared to horizontal turbines.
Airloom also states that such a system is 85% faster to deploy and 47% cheaper to produce. In June 2025, the company started building a pilot site to test the effectiveness of the technology.
At CES, the company will not demonstrate the actual installation but will present a stand with project materials. CES 2026 will take place from January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas. The exhibition is expected to feature new solutions in the fields of energy, AI infrastructure, and consumer electronics.
