Introducing Swift Drive — an unusual controller with a built-in steering wheel and gear shift buttons
True racing simulator fans prefer to use gamepads or special wheels, as the keyboard and mouse cannot provide enough control over a virtual car. But soon there will be an interesting gaming accessory on the market that eliminates the need to choose an input device.
What is known
GameSir announced the Swift Drive controller, which has a miniature steering wheel installed in the center.
To install the mini-wheel, they had to sacrifice the D-pad and right stick, but additional buttons for gear shifting will be a great bonus in virtual races.
The built-in wheel supports the Hall effect, which prevents slippage and ensures correct reading of user commands. In addition, Swift Drive is equipped with vibration motors to simulate braking and wheel slip.
Interestingly, the manufacturer has provided the ability to customize the wheel.
Besides Swift Drive, GameSir will also offer Turbo Drive — a controller in the form of a full-size sports supercar steering wheel, complete with wireless pedals.
Without charging, Swift Drive will last 20–30 hours, and Turbo Drive — up to 50 hours.
Both new products will be showcased at CES 2026, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 6–9.
