LG Electronics announced the LG gram 2026 laptop lineup, which will premiere at CES 2026. The updated models will feature a case made from the new ultra-light material Aerominum, enhanced AI capabilities, and improved mobility.

What is known

The main innovation of the series is the use of the Aerominum magnesium-aluminum alloy developed by LG. It reduces the weight of laptops, increases body stiffness, and makes devices more scratch-resistant. LG notes that Aerominum meets military reliability standards and is designed for active mobile use.

LG gram 2026 laptops belong to the Copilot+ PC class and use a dual AI system:

  • local model EXAONE 3.5 sLLM, working directly on the device;
  • cloud AI functions of Microsoft Copilot+.

The presence of a built-in NPU allows for AI tasks to be performed even without an internet connection. The LG gram Link app for synchronization with Android, iOS, and webOS devices has also been improved.

LG has revealed some information about the LG gram Pro AI models (17"/16"):

The 17” model is designed specifically for the North American market and is the world's lightest laptop with such a diagonal and a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card. This model is equipped with an RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7 graphics card and an IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.

The LG gram Pro AI with a 16” screen features the thinnest and lightest body in its category with a battery capacity of 77 Wh. It features an OLED screen with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, will be sold with Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI series 400 processors, supports fast charging, and has passed military-level reliability certification.

The LG gram 2026 series will also receive additional features:

  • remote locking and wiping of data via LG ThinQ;
  • enhanced synchronization with LG devices;
  • increased resistance to loads.
