Introducing Pebble Round 2 — an updated version of the iconic watch with an improved e-paper display and high autonomy
The founder of the Pebble company, Eric Migicovsky, continues his return to the wearable electronics market and has introduced Pebble Round 2 — an updated version of his iconic smartwatches.
What is known
Recall that Pebble was the first mass producer of smartwatches, and its Pebble Time Round (2015) model set the standards for the entire industry.
Pebble Round 2 has become the spiritual legacy of Pebble Time Round (2015), but has received important updates that eliminate the key shortcomings of the original. The watch has retained its recognizable design but features a noticeably improved 1.3” color e-paper display with a resolution of 260×260. The 8.1 mm thick case makes the novelty one of the thinnest smartwatches on the market, and the frames have become significantly thinner, correcting one of the main shortcomings of the original.
The watch case is made of stainless steel, and customers are offered options in silver, black, and rose gold colors. There are two strap sizes to choose from: 14 mm for the “rose gold” version, 20 mm for the black model, and both options (14 and 20 mm) for the silver one.
Pebble traditionally focuses on energy efficiency, and the Round 2 works for 10–14 days on a single charge — significantly longer than most modern smartwatches. The display is always active and perfectly readable in any lighting, emphasizing Pebble's philosophy — simplicity and practicality.
Pebble Round 2 does not attempt to compete with fitness models, but offers the following useful features:
- step tracking;
- sleep quality control;
- two microphones for voice notes and app interaction;
- notifications, timers, alarms, and access to Pebble apps.
Pebble Round 2 is already available for pre-order at a price of $199, with distribution and open sales starting in May 2026.
More information about the watch will be revealed at CES 2026.
