Leak: HMD is preparing to launch a new portable Boom E1 Bluetooth speaker with 52mm drivers and an 800mAh battery
The Finnish company HMD is preparing to launch a new portable Bluetooth speaker — this was reported by the insider community HMD_MEME'S.
What is known
According to the leak, the model will be called HMD Boom E1 and is equipped with a 52mm driver with a power of 5W and an IPX7-rated enclosure, which allows the speaker to withstand splashes, rain and even brief immersion in water.
The device supports Bluetooth 5.0, includes an AUX line-in and a built-in microphone for voice calls.
The design of the Boom E1 is minimalist: a round blue body, a fabric front panel, the HMD logo on top, and physical control buttons at the bottom. A side strap-loop is provided for carrying.
The speaker's autonomy is ensured by an 800mAh battery, charging is done via USB-C. The battery life is still undisclosed, as is the release date and price of the device, but considering the brand's positioning and declared characteristics, there is no doubt that the Boom E1 belongs to the budget segment.
