The gaming community named the hardcore but incredibly soulful Metroidvania Hollow Knight: Silksong as the best game of the year. Seven long years of waiting for the release of this game were fully justified, leaving no one indifferent, taking the award even from the hit Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which collected almost all the awards of 2025 at various events.
By the way, the "French JRPG" quite deservedly won the Steam Awards in the "Best Soundtrack of the Year" category.
