Budget Samsung smartphones have risen in price in India — which market will be next?
A few days ago, information appeared in the media that Media: Samsung freezes the price of its flagships — the cost of the Galaxy S26 lineup will not differ from the 2025 models — the cost of the Galaxy S26 lineup will not differ from the 2025 models. Unfortunately, this does not apply to budget devices, which are the most popular in all markets.
What is known
Samsung announced a price increase for Galaxy A and Galaxy F series smartphones in India. They are already being sold at the new price, and this applies to all memory options for the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy F17 models. So, the Galaxy A56 has risen in price by 2000 rupees ($22), Galaxy A36 — by 1500 rupees ($17), and Galaxy F17 — by 1000 rupees ($11).
Samsung did not explain the reason for this price increase, but it is likely due to a massive shortage and sharp price increase of RAM chips.
Of course, our readers are not very interested in prices in India, but do not expect the cost of Samsung smartphones to remain the same in other markets.
