Garmin introduced a blind spot monitoring system for trucks
Garmin introduced the dēzl DualView camera system for trucks with blind spot monitoring functionality. The new product is aimed at professional drivers and is intended to enhance safety during driving and maneuvering.
What is known
The system consists of two side cameras that show the situation on both sides of the vehicle in real time and monitor blind spots. The cameras automatically record incidents and save videos in 1080p HD format. The package includes the cameras themselves, a transmission module, and mounting elements. The devices are IPX7 rated, allowing them to operate in rain, under the sun, and withstand pressure washing. Sales of dēzl DualView will begin on January 8, 2026, and the recommended price is $999.99.

The camera image is displayed on a screen in the cabin — on a connected tablet, Garmin dēzl OTR navigator for trucks, or a compatible motorhome navigator. When another vehicle appears in the blind spot or in case of lane change, the system provides visual warnings. Incident recordings are automatically saved to a microSD memory card.
Garmin notes that dēzl DualView is designed with the real working conditions of truckers in mind. According to Susan Lyman, the company's vice president of sales and marketing, the system helps drivers feel more confident when changing lanes and reversing, and video recordings can serve as additional protection in dispute situations.
