Portrait Photography Masters: Realme Introduced Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ Smartphones with 200 MP Cameras and Vibrant AMOLED Displays
Realme officially introduced the new Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ smartphones. Both models feature a refreshed design, powerful cameras, large AMOLED displays, and excellent battery life.
What is known
The Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ are equipped with AMOLED screens with a 144 Hz refresh rate, support for 1.07 billion colors, and a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1.
The Realme 16 Pro has a flat 6.78” screen, while the higher-end 16 Pro+ model is equipped with a curved 6.8” HyperGlow 4D Curve+ display with a peak brightness of 6500 nits and ultra-thin 1.48 mm bezels.
The main focus is on the cameras. The Realme 16 Pro+ features a 200 MP main camera with dual-axis optical stabilization, a 50 MP telephoto lens, and an 8 MP ultra-wide module. The front camera is 50 MP with support for 4K HDR video. The junior model also features a 200 MP main sensor and a 50 MP additional camera, but without the advanced periscope.
In terms of performance, the devices differ:
- The Realme 16 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset;
- The Realme 16 Pro+ is equipped with the more powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, scoring 1.44 million points in AnTuTu according to the manufacturer.
Both devices come with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The internal UFS 3.1 flash storage is up to 256 GB for the Pro and up to 512 GB for the Pro+.
The Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ feature 7000 mAh batteries with 80 W fast charging. The smartphones also have water and dust protection standards of IP66/IP68/IP69, which is rare for the mid-range segment.
The Realme 16 Pro is priced from $350 (converted from rupees), and the official cost of the 16 Pro+ is not yet disclosed, but insiders previously mentioned $445.
The smartphones are already available in India, but the global release is still unknown.
