Great Idea: HP Introduces Eliteboard G1a — a Powerful Mini-PC Embedded in a Keyboard
At CES 2026, HP introduced an unusual device, the Eliteboard G1a — a full-fledged mini-PC built into the keyboard body. Externally, the novelty looks like a regular office keyboard, but inside it hides a powerful system based on AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors, up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM, up to 2 TB SSD, and an active cooling system.
What is known
Eliteboard G1a connects to the monitor via USB-C, while the device supports output to two 4K displays in a daisy chain. Inside the case, there are also stereo speakers, a fan, a set of ports, and a Bluetooth module for the included mouse.
HP offers configurations based on Ryzen AI 5 350 and Ryzen AI 7 370 Pro, along with optional features:
- fingerprint scanner,
- removable 35 Wh battery, providing up to 3.5 hours of battery life.
The weight of the keyboard/mini-PC is about 726 grams, and the thickness is 17 mm. The device runs Windows 11 and supports Copilot+ PC features thanks to the built-in Ryzen AI NPU.
HP positions the Eliteboard G1a as an alternative to traditional mini-PCs and AIO systems: the entire computer is hidden in the keyboard, and the user only needs to connect a monitor and mouse.
Eliteboard G1a will go on sale in March 2026, with the price to be announced closer to the start of sales.
