JBL introduced three new gaming headsets in the Quantum series: from flagship to budget
The popular audio brand JBL has updated its Quantum gaming headset lineup and introduced three models at CES 2026: Quantum 950X, Quantum 650X, and Quantum 250. The new products cover the entire price range — from affordable to premium segment — and offer a unified set of proprietary technologies for PCs, consoles, and mobile devices.
What is known
The flagship JBL Quantum 950X became the main announcement of the series. It is a wireless headset with a focus on high sound quality and advanced gaming features.
It features:
- 50-mm carbon drivers supporting Hi-Res Audio;
- 3D head tracking for precise sound positioning;
- active noise cancellation;
- a 6-mm cardioid microphone with AI noise cancellation;
- two interchangeable batteries with hot-swap capability — up to 50 hours of operation;
- a wireless base station with EQ adjustment, chat balance, and RGB lighting.
The headset is compatible with PCs, consoles, and mobile devices via a 2.4 GHz adapter, Bluetooth 5.3, or wired connection.
JBL Quantum 650X is a mid-range headset with flagship capabilities, also featuring 50-mm carbon drivers, spatial sound, and support for 2.4 GHz + Bluetooth, but without interchangeable batteries. Battery life — up to 45 hours.
JBL Quantum 250 is the most budget-friendly wired headset, also utilizing 50-mm drivers and the proprietary Quantum Sound Signature audio profile.
Price and availability
According to media, the headsets will be released in the following order:
- JBL Quantum 250 — March 2026 for $80
- JBL Quantum 650X — April 2026 for $200
- JBL Quantum 950X — April 2026 for $400
