For several weeks, rumors have been circulating in the media that Nvidia is planning to resume production of the GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card due to acute shortages and high prices of modern RAM chips. Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang hinted that this option is indeed being considered, and now Chinese insiders have revealed information that leaves no doubt that the rumors are true.

What is known

According to Chinese sources, RTX 3060 production will resume in the first quarter of 2026, with the first batches of video cards appearing on sale by the end of January, but only in China.

Unfortunately, for now, we are talking about a version with 8 GB of video memory, not 12 GB.

It is mentioned that the number of graphics processors will be limited since chip manufacturers also offer companies a small quantity. That is why Nvidia will only supply the video card core, and partners will have to independently purchase and install GDDR6 memory.

It is important that the price of the GeForce RTX 3060 will remain unchanged.

Surely gamers will be pleased with this message, as the RTX 3060 remains the most popular graphics card according to open Steam statistics — it is still powerful enough yet much more affordable than modern models.
