Wolfenstein will still get a sequel: insiders have no doubt that MachineGames is already working on the third part of the series
Two reputable sources confirmed that the Swedish studio MachineGames is indeed working on the third part of its Wolfenstein series.
Recall that in September 2025 A Wolfenstein sequel is only a matter of time: MachineGames CEO reassures fans of the series that he does not rule out the possibility that gamers will still get a logical conclusion to Wolfenstein, since a trilogy of games about the brave fighter with the Nazis, William "BJ" Blazkowicz, was planned during the development of New Order, but only two main parts have been released so far.
What is known
The first person to report on the development of Wolfenstein 3 was a reputable insider and editor of Windows Central. In his article about the future of Xbox, he expressed confidence that they will try to release the new game simultaneously with the premiere of the Amazon launches Wolfenstein series: alternate history and the Nazis are at it again.
In turn, the Kotaku portal, citing its own sources, confirmed that MachineGames is indeed already working on Wolfenstein 3, but the author of the article believes that the game's release will be timed to the 40th anniversary of Bethesda Softworks. However, this seems unlikely, as the company's anniversary will be in June 2026, and there is no indication that the shooter will be ready for release in a few months, since literally a year ago, Swedish developers completed work on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and it is impossible to release another large-scale game in such a short time.
The main thing is clear so far—the legendary franchise's story is not over yet, and gamers will still see Wolfenstein 3.
