GTA VI may be postponed for a third time: Jason Schreier refutes information about the game's readiness for release
The most anticipated game in the history of the industry — GTA VI — may not be released in November 2026 — such alarming information for gamers was shared by one of the most authoritative journalists and insiders, Jason Schreier.
What is known
On the Button Mash podcast, Schreier questioned his colleagues' information that the main content of GTA VI is ready, and the additional year is used by Rockstar Games exclusively for polishing the criminal action game. Such a volume of work does not allow any studio employee to be 100% confident that on November 19, 2026, gamers will be able to immerse themselves in the criminal world of Vice City.
Schreier stressed that this situation does not necessarily lead to an inevitable third postponement of the game and reminded that active work on RDR 2 continued until the last months before release.
Notably, Schreier's words directly contradict the information from Tom Henderson, who claimed a few days ago that GTA 6 is practically ready, and the additional year is used by the authors exclusively for polishing the criminal action game to ensure its technical condition is as close to perfect as possible.
