Volvo announced that the upcoming electric crossover EX60 in the all-wheel drive version will be able to travel up to 810 km on a single charge according to the WLTP cycle. In addition, the car will support fast charging with power up to 400 kW, which will add up to 340 km of range in just ten minutes.

What else is known

The full presentation of the Volvo EX60 is scheduled for January 21, 2026. The model is built on the new SPA3 electric architecture and has an 800-volt electrical system.

The crossover features a cell-to-body design — the battery is integrated into the body structure, which contributes to greater stiffness with less weight. The EX60 will also receive Volvo's proprietary electric motors and will become the brand's first production model to use "megacasting" technology, where hundreds of individual body panels are replaced with a single complex-shaped part.

To control the charging process, software from Breathe Battery Technologies, a part of Volvo's investment portfolio, is used. The system dynamically adjusts energy transfer depending on conditions.

All new EX60 buyers will also receive a 10-year battery warranty.
