OnePlus introduced the Turbo 6 lineup — budget smartphones with a huge 9000 mAh battery, 165 Hz frequency, and decent performance
The popular Chinese brand OnePlus has released a new line of Turbo 6 smartphones, which includes two models. The series is focused on high performance and autonomy, offering sub-flagship level features at an affordable price.
What is known
OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V received a battery with a capacity of 9000 mAh — this is the most capacious battery in the history of OnePlus. The manufacturer claims up to 22.5 hours of video viewing and more than 10 hours of gaming without recharging. The smartphones support 80W charging and 27W reverse wired charging.
Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V are equipped with 6.78” AMOLED displays with a refresh rate of 165 Hz — this is the level of top gaming smartphones. BOE displays support 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage, 1.07 billion shades, and 3840 Hz PWM adjustment for eye protection.
OnePlus Turbo 6 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and has 12/16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256/512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The more budget-friendly OnePlus Turbo 6V is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and has 8/12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256/512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage as well.
Both versions run on Android 16 with the ColorOS 16 shell.
The smartphones have cameras with a main sensor of 50 MP, while the Turbo 6V has a simpler image processing system.
OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V have water and dust protection according to IP66 / IP68 / IP69 standards.
The series is currently only available in China at a price (converted from yuan):
- OnePlus Turbo 6 — from $255
- OnePlus Turbo 6V — from $205.
It is expected that in the global market, the new products will appear under the name OnePlus Nord 6.
