Xbox loses another exclusive: fantasy RPG Avowed will be released on PlayStation 5 in February
Microsoft revealed another game that will soon lose its Xbox console exclusive status and be available on PlayStation 5.
What is known
On February 17, the fantasy RPG Avowed from Obsidian Entertainment, set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, will be released on Sony consoles.
All interested parties can already pre-order on PlayStation 5.
Furthermore, the developers announced that on the same day — February 17 — Avowed will receive a major anniversary update on all platforms, adding a lot of new content and additional features, including several playable races, weapons, a full-fledged photo mode, and more.
Recall that the release of Avowed took place in February 2025. Critics praised the game highly, but gamers actively criticize it for outdated graphics, questionable game mechanics, and overall secondhandedness.
Obsidian claims that after the anniversary update, Avowed will become “more of a complete game.”
