Media: Fable will not be an Xbox exclusive and will definitely release on PlayStation 5
The role-playing game Fable, which will be a reboot of the iconic series, was announced back in 2020 and since then has been declared as an exclusive for Microsoft platforms — PC and Xbox Series.
However, since the announcement, the American company's strategy has changed significantly and is now focusing on multiplatform releases, bringing almost all of its games to competitor consoles — PlayStation and Nintendo.
What is known
The reputable publication VGC reported that developers from Playground Games are also working on a version of Fable for PlayStation 5. This information appeared shortly before the Xbox Developer Direct show, which will primarily focus on Fable. Therefore, on January 22, gamers are likely to learn the release date of the long-awaited game and whether it will indeed release on the PS5.
In addition to Fable, the Xbox Developer Direct presentation will show the gameplay of the Forza Horizon 6 race, provide news about the action game Beast of Reincarnation from the Pokémon series authors, and reportedly surprise the public with some fourth secret game.
