The PlayStation Portal portable console has exceeded analysts' expectations and is showing excellent sales. The gadget has become even more relevant after a major update that PlayStation Portal becomes a standalone platform: Sony launches cloud gaming without PS5 connection without connection to PlayStation 5.

And now, it seems, Sony has figured out how to make the PS Portal even more attractive to buyers.

What is known

Information has appeared on the @Zuby_Tech public account, according to which the Japanese company is preparing an updated version of the PlayStation Portal, the main feature of which will be an OLED screen instead of IPS.

It is mentioned that the display will receive a frame rate of 120 Hz, which will make the gameplay smoother. There is no more information yet, but it is worth reminding that gadgets of this format get a second life with the addition of a model with an OLED screen, as evidenced by examples with the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch.
