It is known that a lot of heat is generated during cryptocurrency mining, which dissipates into the atmosphere, causing eco-activists to have major complaints about crypto farms. Superheat has proposed an original solution for the rational use of excess heat.

What is known

At CES 2026, the company introduced the Superheat H1 water heater, which uses the heat from a built-in ASIC miner to heat water. The manufacturer calls the device a “boiler that pays for itself” and promises that it can compensate up to 80% of electricity and hot water costs through Bitcoin mining income.

The Superheat H1 costs around $2000 and externally resembles an ordinary storage boiler, but instead of a traditional heating element, a specialized computing module is installed inside. It performs operations for the Bitcoin network, emitting heat that is directed to heat the water. According to Superheat, the device consumes as much energy as a standard electric water heater but provides the owner with up to $1000 in passive income per year, allowing the purchase to pay off in about two years.

The tank capacity is 190 liters, and the service life is estimated at 10 years, comparable to regular household models. The device is controlled through the proprietary Superheat app, where you can monitor water temperature, mining performance, and equipment status. The app also allows you to control dozens or hundreds of such boilers at once, making the technology scalable for residential complexes or hotels.

The company emphasizes that the Superheat H1 can become part of a broader infrastructure: according to Superheat's calculations, installing such boilers in a residential complex of 700 apartments can generate up to $980,000 per year in cumulative mining income.

The first deliveries of Superheat H1 will begin in March.
