“Reincarnation of BlackBerry” to Get an Update: Improved Version of Titan 2 Smartphone with Physical QWERTY Keyboard Announced
In the summer of 2025, the Chinese company Unihertz Nostalgia at the max: Titan 2 square smartphone with physical QWERTY keyboard inspired by BlackBerry classics is unveiled, which is clearly inspired by the iconic BlackBerry — as indicated by its form factor and physical QWERTY keyboard.
Now the manufacturer has announced its improved version.
What is known
The upgraded smartphone will be called Titan 2 Elite — and that’s all that is currently known about the novelty. Judging by the presented image, the model will have rounded corners and, probably, a thinner body — the current model’s thickness is 11 mm.
Developers promise to share details about the Titan 2 Elite at the MWC 2026 exhibition, which kicks off on March 2 in Barcelona.
Let’s recall the main characteristics of Titan 2:
- square 4.5″ display with a resolution of 1440×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz;
- additional 2″ screen on the back panel for notifications and selfies;
- 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset;
- 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage;
- 5050 mAh battery with 33W fast charging;
- cameras: 50 MP main, 8 MP telephoto, and 32 MP front-facing;
- Android 15, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, IR port, FM radio, and dual-band GPS.
The smartphone supports gestures, customizable actions, and tactile feedback.
