Dodge Hornet discontinued after several years on the market
Dodge has officially recognized the end of production of the Hornet crossover. A company representative confirmed in a comment to Carbuzz that the assembly of the model in Italy was completed due to changes in the political and trade environment.
What is known
Hornet lasted on the market for only three model years - from 2023 to 2025.
Dodge emphasized that Hornet owners will retain full support, including service, warranty, and parts supply. All versions of the model have a 3-year or 36,000-mile (57.9 thousand km) warranty, as well as 5 years or 60,000 miles (96.6 thousand km) on the powertrain. The hybrid Hornet R/T comes with an extended warranty: 8 years or 80,000 miles (128.7 thousand km) on hybrid components and 8 years or 100,000 miles (160.9 thousand km) on the battery.

The base Dodge Hornet was equipped with a 268-horsepower engine. The plug-in hybrid version R/T developed 288 hp and could accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in about five seconds.
The model effectively competed with the Alfa Romeo Tonale, built on the same platform with a similar hybrid setup. Although the Hornet was cheaper, Alfa Romeo won: the Tonale will return to the US market in 2026, but without the PHEV version.
The best sales year for the Hornet was 2024 - 20,559 vehicles. In 2025, only 9,365 units were sold, even though production was halted in the middle of the year.
