The developers officially presented the very trailer that was mistakenly published in Microsoft's digital store. In it, the developers showed new gameplay footage and announced that the game will be released on March 5 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
Anyone can pre-order — the standard edition of the shooter will cost $40. Those who don't mind spending extra money can purchase the collector's edition of Marathon, which will include several physical items and access to in-game cosmetic items.
In addition, Sony announced a new DualSense controller and Pulse Elite wireless headphones in the style of Marathon, which will be available from March 5, and pre-orders start on January 29. The price of the devices will be $85 and $175 respectively, but the headphones will be sold only in the USA.
Recall, in the new game from the creators of Destiny and Halo, the events unfold on the planet Tau Ceti IV, which is divided into four zones — they have different difficulty levels, and the biggest challenge for gamers awaits on the UESC Marathon spaceship. Players will receive tasks from representatives of different factions and valuable rewards and bonuses are provided for their completion, while characters will further reveal the nuances of the Marathon universe.
