As of December 31, 2025, the head of Nintendo of America Doug Bowser, who will be remembered not only as an excellent leader but also for having a last name that perfectly matches the name of Mario's main enemy, left his position.

Nintendo of America head resigns: famed Doug Bowser will be remembered as a great leader, but it was clear that a top manager of such level would have no trouble finding a worthy job, and after just three weeks of vacation, Doug Bowser takes a position in a prestigious company.

What is known

Gaming industry veteran Doug Bowser joined the board of directors and became one of the executives of the media company Hasbro, which owns the rights to mega-popular franchises, among which are Warhammer and Dungeons Dragons.

Along with Bowser, Carla Vernón, CEO of The Honest Company, joined Hasbro's board of directors.

Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks commented on the appointment of the new colleagues:
