Italian studio Sedleo shared two important news about the medieval action 1348 Ex Voto, which at its announcement surprised with its resemblance to A Plague Tale and a bit to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
What is known
The developers released a new trailer that revealed the release date of 1348 Ex Voto — it will take place on March 12.
As for the platforms, the game will only be available on PC (Steam, EGS) and PS5, and it was decided to abandon the Xbox Series to focus more attention on other versions.
The new footage of 1348 Ex Voto looks great and confirms that the developers are aiming for authentic, but sometimes embellished representations of medieval Europe.
Recall that the events of 1348 Ex Voto unfold in war-torn 14th century Italy. The main character is a young warrior named Aeta, who is trying to find and save a close person and will stop at nothing to do so.
The resemblance to the aforementioned games is noticeable from the first frames: A Plague Tale is reminded of the main game mechanics, puzzles, and the atmosphere of ravaged Europe, while parallels with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice are drawn due to the dynamic sword fights, which are intentionally shown as extremely brutal and unromanticized, a feature of many games.
