Respawn Entertainment won Oscar for their movie "Colette" and became the first-ever game company to win the award

On the night of April 25-26, the annual Oscar Film Awards took place, where Respawn Entertainment and Oculus won the award for "Best Short Documentary."

What we know

The short film "Colette", the companies produced specifically for VR first-person shooter of Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, tells the story of a French resistance member Colette Marin Catherine. Now the woman is 90 years old, during the Second World War her brother died in a concentration camp, which is why throughout her life she never came to Germany again. The film showed how she, for the first time in 74 years, decided to visit the place of her brother's death. Mike Doran, Production Director for Oculus Studios, said:

“The real heroine here is Colette herself, who shared her story. As we see in the film, resistance requires courage, but facing the past may require even more. "

The movie is included with every copy of Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond for free, and if you still haven't seen it but really want to, you can watch it on Oculus TV or on The Guardian's YouTube channel :
