In China, there was a presentation of the remarkable sub-flagship Realme Neo 8 - a smartphone that combines top performance, a huge battery, and an unusual design with a translucent back panel and RGB lighting Awakening Halo.

What is known

Realme Neo 8 is equipped with a 6.78” Samsung Sky Screen display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and extreme local brightness up to 6500 nits.

The device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, Qualcomm's most powerful chipset. In AnTuTu, the smartphone scores up to 3.85 million points, putting it on par with the fastest models of the season.

Realme Neo 8 received an 8000 mAh battery, which, according to the manufacturer, is enough for 7.7 hours of continuous gaming or more than 20 hours of video viewing. Pass-through power (from the network, bypassing the battery) is supported.

The smartphone has a 50 MP Sony IMX896 main camera with optical stabilization (OIS) support and 120x zoom and a periscope telephoto lens, which is rare for devices in this price range.

Realme added a “PC mode” to the smartphone with Steam integration, which allows you to log in, synchronize saves, and run compatible games through the built-in emulator. More than 50 games have already been tested, including the Tomb Raider series, Sekiro, Hollow Knight Silksong, and Dave the Diver.

The youth-oriented Realme Neo 8 is also emphasized by its design - it received a translucent top part of the body, a metal frame, and, of course, RGB lighting Awakening Halo.

The smartphone is offered in white, black, and intense purple.

Realme Neo 8 is available in five memory variants:

  • 12/256 GB — $345
  • 16/256 GB — $390
  • 12/512 GB — $415
  • 16/512 GB — $460
  • 16 GB / 1 TB — $530.

So far, the novelty is only available in China, but a global launch may follow soon.
