HMD launches new brand DUB: ultra-budget smartphones and accessories for the mass market
HMD continues to expand its own ecosystem of devices and launches the new sub-brand DUB on the market. Under this brand, the company will produce the most affordable smartphones, feature phones, and basic accessories aimed at the mass user and emerging markets.
What is known
HMD positions DUB as the simplest and most practical series of devices — without complex functions but with a focus on reliability, bright design, and low price. This is part of the company's new strategy, within which it is developing several directions simultaneously: premium devices under the HMD brand, the youth line Vibe, and now the ultra-budget segment DUB while reducing dependence on the Nokia trademark.
The first devices under the DUB brand are already being prepared for launch. The series will include inexpensive Android smartphones with basic specifications, feature phones with large keys and long battery life, as well as accessories — chargers, cables, and headphones. The design of the models will be in bright colors, and the interface will be greatly simplified for daily use convenience.
HMD emphasizes that DUB will become a key brand for markets where affordability and durability are important, as well as for users who need a simple phone without superfluous functions. The company plans to expand the lineup throughout the year by adding new form factors and device categories.
The first DUB release will be three models of DUB TWS headphones — with active noise cancellation, improved protection, and high autonomy (up to 60 hours).
The sales of the brand's first devices will start from Saudi Arabia and the UAE, followed by a global launch of DUB.
