Energy consumption data for the updated Yangwang U7 model has been disclosed in China. This is one of the local mandatory requirements for obtaining sales permission.

What is Known

According to data from certification documents, the updated U7 in a fully electric configuration received a 150 kWh battery instead of the previous 135 kWh one. Two power levels are planned — 1,287 and 1,341 hp. One of the model's features is low energy consumption at only 17.7 kWh per 100 km.

BYD managed to reduce the U7's energy consumption by 10%, despite the car's weight increasing by 100 kg. Under the CLTC cycle, the range of the more powerful version is 860 km, while the 1,287 hp version can travel up to 1,006 km on a single charge. This is 206 km more than before.
