HMD introduced its first smartwatches Watch X1 and Watch P1 with a large set of sports modes, health monitoring, and high autonomy

Finnish company HMD Global has officially entered the smartwatch market by introducing two models — Watch X1 and Watch P1. The first is aimed at the premium segment, and the second is a more budget-friendly and versatile model. Both novelties operate on their own RTOS platform and support more than 700 types of activity, health monitoring, and Bluetooth calls.

What is known

In addition to technical specifications and price category, the watches are distinguished by their shape — Watch X1 has a round display, and Watch P1 has a square display.

HMD Watch X1 — premium model

  • 1.43" AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 × 466 pixels, peak brightness of 600 nits, and support for Always-On Display and animated watch faces;
  • case is protected from water and dust according to IP68 standard, suitable for swimming;
  • lasts up to 14 days without recharging;
  • features: heart rate and SpO₂ sensors, sleep, stress, activity tracking, notifications, music control, Bluetooth calls;
  • available in gray-green, black, gray, and silver colors.

HMD Watch P1 — versatile and more affordable model

  • 1.83" LCD screen with a resolution of 240 × 284 pixels and brightness of 550 nits;
  • case is protected from water and dust according to IP67 standard;
  • lasts up to 10 days without recharging;
  • same sensors and sports capabilities as X1: more than 700 modes, health monitoring, calls, notifications, music.
  • available in black and silver colors.

Both models support control via the HMD Watch App for Android and iOS and can be charged wirelessly.

When to expect and price

HMD has not yet disclosed the cost of the new watches, but sales should start by the end of January 2026.
