The next State of Play will take place in mid-February — two insiders revealed the preparation of the new show
Sony may hold a regular State of Play gaming show in the next few weeks, according to two authoritative insiders.
What is known
The first to report that the show will take place in February was NateTheHate, in response to a question from one of his subscribers.
Soon after, well-known blogger Jeff Grubb shared more specific information during the Game Mess Mornings podcast. According to him, the next State of Play is very likely to take place on February 12 or one of the days of the week starting from that date.
It is worth noting that February 12 is a Thursday, and it is on this day that Sony traditionally holds its gaming shows.
As for the showcases, it is obvious that the audience will see new footage of the roguelike shooter Saros — the sequel to Returnal, which is set to release on April 30, 2026, on PlayStation 5.
Details of the spy action Marvel's Wolverine, which is Sony's main novelty for 2026 and is expected to be released in the fall, should also be expected.
