The bot problem on social networks has become so acute that many companies are actively developing platforms with strict user verification.

A few days ago, W Social was announced — a social network for EU residents, and now it has become known that OpenAI is also working on its own platform, where there will be no place for bots.

What is known

Forbes journalists reported that the AI technology giant OpenAI may soon offer its own social network. The main feature of this platform will be strict verification: to register, you need to use Face ID on an iPhone or scan the retina using the Orb device (a product of Sam Altman's World startup).

By the way, such verification technology can be used by other platforms as well.

However, the launch of OpenAI's social network is not a matter of the near future, as the project is at an early stage and is being worked on by less than ten people.

OpenAI head Sam Altman has repeatedly publicly criticized social networks for their insufficient fight against bots, and apparently he decided to show how to model such platforms. His application is expected to actively use AI, including generative AI, for example, for creating videos.
