Garmin has released the third update this month for its premium smartwatch models — Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Pro, and Tactix 8. The update numbered Beta Version 21.19 is already being distributed among beta program participants and contains a number of important fixes.

What is known

Previous versions (21.16 and 21.18) solved heart rate variability (HRV) issues and other bugs. In the new 21.19, Garmin focused on data visualization accuracy: the update fixes the display of empty fields on the map in split-screen mode for Memory in Pixel (MiP) displays. Also, a bug was fixed where after Backcountry Ski activity, maximum speed and covered distance indicators were not displayed.

Currently, about 50% of compatible devices have already received a notification about the new version. Although beta functions related to aviation, diving, and ECG are still disabled, Garmin is expected to soon transition to a stable release of version 21.xx.
