Bloomberg: In the coming weeks, Apple will release updated MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors
In the coming weeks, Apple may release updated models of MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors. According to the renowned insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, this may coincide with the release of the stable version of macOS 26.3.
What is known
In the latest issue of Power On, Gurman mentioned that the release of new laptops with code names J714 and J716 is scheduled for the same period as the deployment of macOS 26.3, which will take place in February-March 2026.
Currently, the operating system update is in the beta testing stage, and its pre-release version should be released in the first half of February, and that's exactly when the announcement and start of sales of MacBook Pro M5 Pro and MacBook Pro M5 Max should be expected.
In addition, Gurman does not rule out that the laptops could be released in March, but considers such a scenario unlikely.
It is expected that Insider: MacBook Pro M6 with OLED screen may be released sooner than expected in design and hardware, as Apple plans a major series update in late 2026 or early 2027. These will be the first models with the M6 chip, with a touch OLED screen instead of miniLED and a webcam hole, which will be similar to Dynamic Island on the iPhone. The computer body will become lighter and thinner.
