Jaguar is actively preparing the production version of its new four-door GT — the successor to the Type 00 concept — for debut. Prototypes are being tested on frozen lakes in Sweden, where the handling and all-wheel drive behavior are checked in extreme conditions.

What's Known

The future model will become the most powerful production Jaguar in history. The total output will be over 1,000 hp and about 1,300 Nm. The power unit is three-motor: an electric motor at the front with about 350 hp, and two engines at the rear with a combined power of approximately 950 hp. There will be no hybrid version.

The car will feature an active air suspension with dual-valve dampers and an advanced thermal management system, reducing energy costs for heating by up to 40%. Instead of one large battery, several battery packs are used, allowing the cabin floor to be lowered, the center of gravity to be reduced, and the body height kept at 1,400 mm.

The range is estimated at about 400 miles (approximately 644 km) according to the EPA cycle or up to 430 miles (692 km) according to the European WLTP standard with a battery capacity of about 120 kWh. The starting price is expected to be around 120,000 pounds (approximately 139,000 euros or 160,000 US dollars).

The premiere of the production version is scheduled for the summer, orders will be taken in the fall, and the first customer deliveries are expected in the spring of 2027.
