Oppo introduced new budget smartphones A6v and A6i+ with large batteries, 120 Hz screens, and enhanced water resistance
The Chinese brand Oppo has expanded its line of budget smartphones and introduced two new models.
Oppo A6v and Oppo A6i+ may interest those who value autonomy, large screens, and modern design, but do not want to overpay for flagship features.
What is known
The new devices have 6.8-inch displays with a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is not always found in the budget segment. The A6i+ model stands out with a brightness of up to 1125 nits, ensuring comfortable use even under direct sunlight.
The main focus for Oppo was autonomy. The Oppo A6v is equipped with a 6500 mAh battery, while the A6i+ has an even more capacious 7000 mAh battery. Both models support 45W charging, allowing for quick recharging.
Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which ensures stable operation of the interface and applications. The A6v is offered in an 8/256 GB configuration, while the A6i+ is available in versions up to 12/512 GB.
The cameras of the models are similar: the main camera is 50 MP, the front camera is 8 MP for the A6i+ (the A6v is expected to have a similar module). The smartphones support working with wet screens and gloves, which is especially relevant in winter.
An interesting feature is the case protection: the Oppo A6i+ has an IP69 rating, which is extremely rare in budget devices. The younger model A6v is limited to the IP64 standard, but that is sufficient for splash and dust protection.
Smartphones are available in several colors: the A6v in shades of Glacier Blue, Titanium Purple, and Wilderness Green, while the A6i+ in Glacier White and Chestnut Brown.
Oppo will provide smartphones with six years of Android updates and security patches.
Sales of both models have already started in China. The price of the Oppo A6v starts at approximately $170 (converted from yuan), and the Oppo A6i+ starts at $215, depending on the configuration. The international release has not yet been confirmed, but interest in the models is already high due to the combination of autonomy and price.
