YouTube announced the full launch of the automatic neural translation function for videos. Now it is available in 27 languages and accessible to all video hosting users.

What is known

Previously, this kind of translation was relevant only in videos from large channels with significant monetization, but now this limitation is gone.

To enable simultaneous translation, you must select the appropriate option in the video settings and specify the language.

Special mode Expressive Speech is available in eight languages, where AI replicates the author's intonations and emotions, and the tested Lip Sync function synchronizes lip movements with the audio track.

Google emphasizes that adding neural network translation not only does not reduce the video's reach but can also promote it in recommendations, and without a language barrier, it can attract a much larger audience.

Content creators who are not ready to rely on AI can upload their own audio tracks instead of automatic dubbing.
