Insider: Space RPG Starfield will be released on PlayStation 5 as early as April 7
Rumors of the release of Bethesda's space RPG Starfield on PlayStation 5 have been circulating for a long time, and the latest information said that Media: Starfield release on PlayStation 5 won't happen until spring 2026 at the earliest simultaneously with the release of the second story expansion. However, a more precise release date has now appeared from a reliable source.
What is known
The Polish site PPE, citing its own insider under the nickname Graczdari, who works with physical game sales in Europe and previously accurately reported information about Microsoft's plans, reported that Starfield will be released on PlayStation 5 on April 7, and the corresponding announcement will be made soon.
Two editions will be offered to buyers — Standard and Premium.
Earlier, insiders expected to see the game on PS5 in the spring of 2025, but concluded that the release was postponed due to weak sales of the first DLC Shattered Space.
Recall, Starfield was released in 2023 and is currently a console exclusive on Xbox. The game received extremely mixed reviews due to outdated graphics, poor animations, and boring drawn-out gameplay. Developers are trying to improve the technical condition and regularly release major patches, but have not yet achieved great success.
